Description
The Astronomical Society of Victoria Inc. was founded in 1922 and brings together members across Melbourne and Victoria with an interest in all forms of astronomy. With more than 800 members, it is one of the largest astronomical societies in the southern hemisphere.
The 'Southern Skies' exhibition showcases photographic images of the night sky taken by members of the Astronomical Society of Victoria using a wide range of equipment and techniques. Subjects include the moon and planets, deep sky objects, a solar eclipse and Comet McNaught which visited our southern skies in January 2007. Venue
