Description
Eric Kim is an internationally-acclaimed street photographer currently based in Los Angeles. Kim has lead workshops all around the world – helping people overcome their fear of shooting street photography and teaching how to capture meaningful street photographs. Having studied sociology at UCLA, Kim is particularly interested in capturing images that juxtapose people against their surroundings in society. Heavily influenced by the work of street photographers such as Bruce Gilden, Martin Parr, and Bruce Davidson much of his current work is shot up-and-close with a Leica and flash. Eric is currently teaching a university-level course on street photography at the University of California Riverside Extension Center and has shown his work at the Leica Gallery in Seoul, Singapore, and at the Hatakeyama Gallery in Downtown Los Angeles.
