12. Introduction to Macro Photography PDF Print E-mail

Taking pictures of small objects up close - whether indoors or out - is a venture that often delivers mediocre or disappointing results.

Close-up or ‘Macro' photography is one of many specialised areas of photography - and like those other specialised areas, it requires certain tools, techniques and proper understanding.

This course explores what you need to know about Macro photography and then shows you how to put it to use so you can start getting the results you've always wanted.

The class is part teaching and part "hands on."

During the class we will cover

• Choosing the right equipment

• The best settings for your camera

• How depth of field changes with macro lenses

• How the camera reads light and how to set the cameras light meter to best practice settings

• Using the camera's built-in flash
