35mm SLR

SLR stands for Single Lens Reflex. This means that you see precisely what the lens sees.

This is accomplished by directing the light path through the lens, upwards off a mirror and to the viewfinder via a pentaprism.

SLR cameras offer TTL (through-the-lens) viewing and metering for advanced photographic results.

Interchangeable lenses are a feature of SLR cameras that allow the serious amateur or professional photographer a choice of Fish-Eye, Wide Angle, Telephoto and zoom lenses significantly beyond that offered by compact cameras, e.g telephoto lenses of 600mm and zoom with a powerful ranges 180-600mm are available.
